Skrillex

Skrillex is the alias for Sonny Moore, a very popular Dubstep producer. Skrillex could easily be at least partially attributed to the recent rise in popularity of dubstep outside of the UK. Some may recognise the name Sonny Moore, as Skrillex used to be in the band From First To Last. Since separating from the band, Skrillex has been producing electronic music, mainly in the style of bass music. Additionally, Skrillex has only recently started the record label OWSLA, which is a new label to support up and coming artists.

The OWLSA label's first recruits are KOAN Sound, Porter Robinson, Alvin Risk, and M Machine.

Skrillex is well known for remixing as well has creating his own original tracks, such as "Scary Monsters & Nice Sprites" and "Ruffneck" which made it to the BBC Radio 1 main playlist in summer 2011. As well as creating his own label, Skrillex has been associated with Mau5trap, which is the record label owned by Deadmau5.
